Our Story

First 2 Feed was born out of a simple but urgent need: food. After experiencing the devastation of hurricanes in Florida, we saw that the first question people ask after disaster strikes is, “Where will I get my next meal?"  At the same time, we recognized the ongoing struggles of unhoused neighbors in our own community who face that question every single day.

With just a food truck and a desire to serve, we began preparing hot meals and delivering them where they were needed most. What started as a small act of compassion quickly grew into a mission: to be the first to respond with food, comfort, and dignity.

As the work continued, it became clear that what started as a simple effort to help feed people could grow into something more meaningful. Seeing the need in both disaster-impacted communities and among our unhoused neighbors inspired the creation of First 2 Feed as an official nonprofit organization. By establishing a formal foundation, we will be able to build strong partnerships, organize volunteers, and expand our ability to serve those who need it most.

Looking ahead, First 2 Feed is focused on expanding our ability to serve.
In the near future, we plan to secure a dedicated facility where we can safely store and prepare food. This space will allow us to install refrigeration and freezer units, organize food storage, and operate a small kitchen workspace where volunteers can prepare meals for distribution.
As we grow, we also hope to begin accepting food donations from local businesses, grocery stores, and community members. This will help us expand our reach and reduce food waste while feeding more people in need.
We also plan to partner with local churches, organizations, and community groups to host regular meal events that bring people together around a warm meal.
